As a boy in the rural south, Darryl picked fruit with migrant workers, walked country roads in search of soda bottles he could turn in for money,
caught snakes & turtles to sell to pet stores and worked as a janitor to raise money for the plane fare to attend West Point - the United States Military Academy
in New York. An accomplished athlete, Darryl played basketball, volleyball and lacrosse for West Point, where he also excelled as a leader. After graduating from
what is considered the "toughest college in the world," Darryl served as a Captain of Military Intelligence in the U.S. Army. He also earned his Masters degree in
Business and trained with the U.S. Olympic team.
